The Rekindle Summit is a one-day, ecumenical gathering created to support churches, campus ministries, and leaders who are investing in the spiritual formation of young adults. This summit brings together pastors, ministry practitioners, educators, and organizations from across North Texas to learn, share wisdom, and strengthen one another in this critical area of ministry.
The Rekindle Summit was made possible through the Sam Taylor Grant, an education-focused grant stewarded by the Wesley Foundation. As conversations unfolded around the grant’s purpose, it became clear that there was a growing need for a dedicated forum where churches and campus ministries could be equipped with practical insight, theological reflection, and shared learning around young adult ministry.
While many leaders are navigating similar challenges (questions of belonging, vocation, faith formation, and cultural engagement) few spaces exist for them to gather across denominational and organizational lines. Rekindle was created to meet that need.
At its core, the Rekindle Summit exists to serve those who disciple and walk alongside young adults. The summit provides space for learning through keynote conversations, workshops, and a curated resource exhibit, while also prioritizing meaningful connection among participants.
Beyond content, Rekindle emphasizes relationship. By bringing together churches, campus ministries, and faith-based organizations with shared commitments, the summit fosters networks that extend beyond a single day. These relationships help leaders learn from one another, share resources, and collaborate more effectively in their local contexts.
The Rekindle Summit is not a program to replicate, but a gathering designed to equip, encourage, and connect those already engaged in the work of young adult ministry, so they may continue that work with renewed clarity, partnership, and hope.
